Can You Keep a Secret? | Sophie Kinsella

Can You Keep a Secret? ~ Sophie Kinsella

Blog: El's View

The story begins when 25 year-old big-hearted Emma Corrigan spills all her secrets to a stranger who sat beside her on a plane ride, and then this man happens to be the founder of the company she works with, and he knows every single humiliating detail about her, her love life, her family, her flat-mates, and also the fact that she faked an A on her CV…

Personal Opinion: I honestly, genuinely loved it! It was light and extremely hilarious and it easily improves your mood, especially when this CEO (named Jack Harper) teases her in a funny way about her secrets. It's definitely a page-turner and actually finished it over night and day. It has a nicely structured plot, I love the mixture of the characters; you've basically got all sorts of people. I only stopped reading it because my head started throbbing and I had to sleep, but I actually woke up earlier to just keep reading.

Rating: 9/10 (only because I felt like 2 of the flat-mates were acting weirdly to another, like in a hate which isn't really understandable)

This'd be I guess females of the ages 16+ only because there are some mature content, and it's pretty girlish.

  1. I remember reading this a few years back and also loved it. Sophie Kinsella is a very clever writer as she makes her books very appealing even to those of us (like me) who aren't really into chick lit. If you liked this one, you should give her Shopaholic (there was a film a few years back based on the first in the series) books a go.
