Precisely why I sometimes wish our brains had a provision for a memory stick where we could simply download all unwanted memories and then carry on the next day as anew. It may well be the case though, that what we are, our personality, behaviour, actions...everything, is in effect a function of our memories. Some memories are like open wounds that refuse to heal...we don't have much of a choice unfortunately.
